Well lets see who’s paying…no one really but I’m shredding gear by Stepchild Snowboards, Dakine, Nike Boots, Oakley, Whistler/Blackcomb, Rencz’s binding box, and Circa shoes.
Tell us about your new unit WCP?
Whistler Creek Productions is a full service Production company I’m co-Owners with Start Andrews in.
We produce and coordinate projects from small shred media shoots to internet web series to television commercials. Its a tight small company where we get to work in locations we love to be in and get to hire all of our talented friends. We’ve only been at a for a couple years and every year its getting busier and more successful with every job.
What’s your fave trip you have guided on?
As far as organizing and guiding a show I’d say it would be between riding uptapped lines with Terje and Jake Blauvelt in the Squamish area and touring all over Interior of BC with a female Red Bull ski/snowboard crew. Both good in their own way. Girl trip was sick lodges/terrain and powder and sunshine. I got to pick whatever line I wanted.
Squamish heli trip was great because it was my backyard so it was easy to roll out of bed or decide at like 2PM to go hit up the late days light/snow. Riding with Terje and Jake was also pretty sweet!
Do you love being called the wizard?
No I don’t love it. Its not terribly bad but it does make me seem old and I really don’t feel old. Maybe I got some greys but…
Least it makes me seem smart and crafty!
if you could have one other nickname to replace wizard, what would it be?
Not a big fan of nicknames anyhow but I guess other people do call me Gets, getsalano,or whatever continues on after gets…
Guess that name is due to my name Shin-getsu Campos my real name.
